Wedding
Planning a beautiful countryside wedding: the guide
Venue, season, styling, vendors: everything you need for a beautiful countryside wedding.

Countryside chic is not a passing trend: it’s the art of celebrating outdoors, surrounded by wood, linen and seasonal flowers. Orchards, vineyards and stone farmhouses and barns make perfect settings for it.
Choosing the venue (and its plan B)
The venue makes 80% of the atmosphere. Three questions to ask before signing:
- is there a covered fallback space in case of rain?
- does the logistics side hold up (power, catering kitchen, parking, neighbours)?
- can you personalise the décor freely?
The right season
From mid-May to late September, evenings are mild and gardens at their best. Book 12 to 18 months ahead: the loveliest venues go fast, especially June Saturdays.
Countryside elegance, without the kitsch
The secret: natural materials (raw wood, linen, jute), a soft palette — sage, cream, terracotta — and seasonal flowers rather than imported arrangements. Fewer elements, better chosen.
